About Me
My name is Brittany Parks, Owner and Draftswoman at Parks Drafting & Design, LLC. I have always had a passion for creativity and design, which led me on the path of acquiring my degree in Interior Design from Lamar University in Beaumont, Texas. After graduating University in 2009, I got my first job working for a local Home Builder where I learned how to do material take-offs, estimating, material selections and most importantly, DRAFTING! I soon realized that drafting was my absolute favorite part of my job. Since then, I have worked for a Flooring & Surfaces company and two other Home Builders where I was able to perfect my drafting capabilities. In 2023 I felt like I was finally ready to step out on my own and start my drafting company.
I believe that my years of experience working for home builders and regularly being on jobsites allows me keep an eye out for potential on-site problems and offer alternative layout options for my clients.
My goal is to create a beautiful and functional design that fits your lifestyle; one that you will love for years to come.

Whether you are planning a brand new home on your land, wanting to change up the flow of your existing home or needing to add some square footage for your growing family, Parks Drafting & Design can turn your vision into a reality. I offer full construction blue prints for New Construction, Remodels, Additions, Carports, Garages, Outdoor living areas, etc.
Process
First Meeting
We will discuss your wants and needs. You may have some inspiration photos or plans to share with me to better understand your desired style, square footage requirements, and design specifics. Once I can get a general idea of what you are seeking, I can complete an estimate to have your plans designed and drafted.
Preliminary Plan
Next, I begin on the Preliminary Drawing. This is a basic floor plan and front elevation to show you my initial design ideas. It will only show wall to wall room sizes rather than being fully dimensioned. I may show optional cut-away sections if I think there might be a different or better layout. We will discuss this preliminary plan and any changes you may have. Once we get to a point where there are no more changes, we are ready to draw up the final plans.
Final Drawings
These are the plans your contractor will use to build your project. They consist of the Floor plan, fully dimensioned and including electrical, the Elevations of all four sides, and the Foundation plan which includes all of the plumbing items for rough in. I always make myself available to your contractor if they should have any questions about the plans or revisions in the field.
